My Students
Ever had a dream? Have you ever wanted to make you and your family proud? What if one tool was keeping you from your dream? You could help my students achieve their dream! I have math students who want to take math classes to prepare them for college, but they are in need of graphing calculators!
My students are mostly minority students, many are immigrants or 1st generation.
Most live in high poverty. They attend an inner city school, designed to help students achieve the goal of going to college. Most of these students will be the first in their family to go on to higher education. Some will be the first in their family to graduate from high school. Many have responsibilities outside of school, and are dedicated to working hard in Pre-Calculus to improve their future. They would be love to have these graphing calculators in order to help them be technologically proficient for the 21st century.
My Project
The graphing calculators you are funding will be helping these students graph equations, solve complex problems, study for the SAT, and prepare them for college Calculus. The TI-84 plus calculators are the standard in higher education institutions, allowed on all AP, SAT/ACT and college entrance exams.
My students are used to going to schools where there aren't enough supplies.
They would be love to have these graphing calculators in order to help them be technologically proficient for the 21st century.
