My Students
My students are great students who come from many different backgrounds. Our school is the most diverse high school in Utah. Our students vary from a very low to very high socio-economic status. So in my math classes, some have supplies and some don't. Therefore, we can really use supplies that students can have remotely as well as in class, especially calculators.
I love my students because they are dreamers and they want a better life for themselves and their families.
I would like to think that I impact their lives, but I know they impact mine. I would love to provide them with everything that they need to succeed.
My Project
My students use calculators for general computations, statistical analysis, graphing of various functions and statistics, financial applications, and real world problems solving. With this resource I will have a few calculators that my students can borrow and take home to finish their homework.
Most of my students do not have access to this type of calculator at home.
Since I teach statistics this type of calculator is essential. It is extremely difficult and less than engaging with a typical standard calculator. In my Sec Math 3 classes this is an excellent graphing tool, that my students wouldn't have otherwise.
