This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 75 AP Environmental Science students this 2022-2023 school year. They are eager to score a passing score on the AP test, but many do not have calculators of their own to use for AP Exam in May. Also, I do not have a class set to loan out.
By having a class set of scientific calculators, my students will have a better chance of passing the AP Exam and earning college credit.
The AP exam does not provide calculators for students. Currently, math teachers at my school have class sets of calculators, but as a science teacher I do not.
By having this class set, students will be able to complete AP Environmental Science Math problems by using calculators instead of their phones or Chromebooks. Both of which are not allowed for the AP exam. Please help support my students by donating to this project.
