My Project

My students struggle to complete math problems in their head and often times make mistakes when using paper due to not lining up the problem correctly or carrying when needed.

I want to teach my students how to use calculators because that is an easy way for them to solve problems without making mistakes.

Calculators will also let them learn to be self-sufficient. Once students are done completing a problem, they can then go and use a calculator to check their work.

If they get it right they can move on, but if they get it wrong they can then go and see if they can find their mistake.
