My Students

Inquisitive, hard working, and enthusiastic learners: these are all words that could be used to describe my fourth grade Gifted and Talented students. In our class we welcome challenges and work together to think creatively. Our school is located in one of the fastest growing areas in South Carolina.

My Project

My fourth graders are working hard on learning how to divide using a variety of strategies. The calculators in this project will allow my students to verify their calculations with their remainders shown as a fraction, decimal, or remainder!!

The ability to confirm calculations will provide students with the opportunity to focus on interpretation of the remainder, knowing that their numbers are accurate.

These calculators are unique in how they display the answer to division problems and are often used in the advanced GT assignments and inquiry units that my students and I love to work on!
