This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classroom activities will provide learners with opportunities to become knowledgable, flexible, and resourceful thinkers. Calculators in each learners hand will eliminate barriers to access content and reduce the risk students may feel when contributing.

The content of mathematics will provide students with opportunities to learn disciplinary ideas, techniques, and perspectives, make connections and develop productive habits of mind.

Students will select and use math tools appropriately to access the content presented.

Handheld calculators help student make a choice to learn each step instead of simply googling an easy solution. Calculators will help students to engage deeply in understanding the process and method of each task presented.
