My Project
Our Exceptional Children have started a weekly coffee cart for our teachers. Our students are provided with a list of coffee, tea and hot chocolate orders. They have to prepare the orders based on the teacher's selections which include extras such as sugar, sweet and low, and a variety of creamers. Once the drink is made, our students deliver the order to each individual teacher's classroom with a homemade thank you note.
We are in need a sturdy and reliable cart that can move through hallways and buildings without spilling our drinks.
We are in need coffee cups, lids and sleeves that will help keep our drinks hot while not burning our teachers and students. We would like to offer a variety of creamers for our teachers to choose from to add to their orders of teas and coffee. Finally, individual bibs will help our exceptional students look professional and keep from getting their clothes dirty. With the profits our exceptional students earn from the weekly coffee cart, we will be able to purchase a variety of reading, writing, math and social skills materials for remediation and enrichment.
Our weekly coffee cart helps our students to learn social skills, money skills, job skills, and responsibility. Our exceptional students are a diverse group of learners who are several grade levels below their peers. By operating a weekly coffee cart, our exceptional students will build the necessary skills to help them be successful adults once they graduate high school.
