My Project
Have you ever met with group members at a coffee shop to work on a project or to study? Or maybe you just sat at those high tables and read? This is the feeling I would like to bring to our library … minus the coffee.
Providing more collaborative spaces and having more representation on our bookshelves will help students make our library a place to call their own.
Throughout this school year, I have seen an increase in the number of books being borrowed from our library. Many of these books are by Asian authors and students have commented that they could relate to the books they have read.
There has also been an increase in students coming to the library to collaborate or hang out. Having activities, like puzzles and games, will allow our students to take a break while still working together.
This classroom project was brought to life by Dollar General Literacy Foundation
