What is there not to love when you spend your day with 25 six and seven year olds? Every day is a new learning experience filled with curiosity and eagerness to persevere! Teaching in an inner city school in upstate NY, I have found that children at this age are sponges, that are always eager to learn and explore new things!
I have 25 first grade students coming from a variety of different economic and cultural backgrounds, 100% of whom receive free lunch.
In addition, I have several ENL students who speak a variety of languages. I am so excited to engage this year's class! My goal is to help each child move into the 21st century by providing a classroom rich in engaging, hands-on materials and lessons.
My Project
This project is for a Cricut Machine which enable me to cut a variety of materials quickly and accurately. I have also included the supply materials I will need to get our class started on our way to creating an environment which motivates and encourages learning.
A Cricut machine will open up endless possibilities for our class.
I am looking forward to not only creating displays within our classroom to captivate my students, but to also create materials that will further engage my students with their learning. I look forward to creating manipulatives which will engage and guide my class. I also look forward to creating class gifts for my students
