This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As the pre-K school year comes to an end, it's time to prepare our students for the next big step - kindergarten. Our students have worked tirelessly all year long, learning pre-reading skills, mastering letter sounds, and improving their writing and name recognition abilities. They have achieved so much, and they must have the necessary tools to retain these skills and memories as they transition into kindergarten.

Kindergarten is a big step, and it's natural to feel a little apprehensive about it.

But with these resources, our students will feel more confident and equipped to face the challenges of kindergarten. The workbooks will help students retain the skills we've used all year in pre-k by giving extra resources for the summer and the beginning of their Kindergarten year. Kindergarten is a big step for our students and although I would love to walk them through it and hold their hand, I can't. This package of crayons, lapboards, and more will help them along the way and remember what they've learned all year and the memories made in PreK.
