Help me give my students a safe and cleaner place to eat and enjoy insect free social interactions by installing an air curtain on our cafeteria entrance door.
Our rural school campus is surrounded by local farms that are home to various types of livestock. As a result, these farms bring in a multitude of unwanted pests, mainly flies. During specific periods of the year, the fly population in the surrounding area becomes a substantial problem. Although our students are generally used to having an abundance of these pesky creatures, the use of blow fans on our campus will demonstrate to our students how to deter these insects from inhabiting our eating and working areas. Students will see how using simple airflow can also be utilized in their own homes. Teachers and lunchroom staff will be able to assist in explaining this simple trick.
By installing an air curtain at the cafeteria entrance, we can help prevent unwanted pests from entering our students' food preparation and eating areas.
Flies are obvious carriers of many germs and can be extremely distracting while trying to enjoy your eating experience.
