Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school where the poverty level is high and 100% of students receive free meals for breakfast and lunch. Many of our students begin school lacking many real life experiences. On top of that, most kindergarten students begin school without having experienced a traditional classroom setting.

My amazing kindergarteners are so full of energy and have so much potential.

Regardless of the struggles they may face, my students come to school everyday with a positive attitude and eager to learn.

Every year, I set high classroom expectations for all students. As English learners, we have twice as much to learn and master every year and students work hard at reaching their goals. Together, we help create an environment that encourages and motivates everyone to do their best.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) provides teacher created instructional materials and digital tools that help support students. Teacher created materials are creative and insightful helping to keep students engaged and learning.

With so many available resources, TPT will make it possible to provide my kindergarten students with engaging activities that differentiate instruction and support the needs of all my bilingual students regardless of their background and experiences.

TPT provides resources that can be used throughout the school year and range from poetry and short stories in literature to word stories and problem solving in math. All of these activities can be done individually or with a partner. Many resources will allow students to practice at home.
