This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working. The area is at-risk educationally. Most students will be the first students to finish high school in their family. We are trying to show the students that there are more opportunities in the world than just their little neighborhood. The students need to stay abreast with current scholastic events. We are trying to help our students to prepare for college after high school. We are hoping that this grant will help us to achieve this goal.
My Project
My students will be using the Giant Connect 4 Game to review for tests. It is so hard to make review interesting but with the game the students will need to get the correct answer to the questions to "connect 4". My students will also need to work as a team so they will be able to beat the other team in connecting the 4. This activity will be so important because my students have been isolated for the last year and they need team building activities to help in their social development.
