My Students
My kindergarten students come to school with incredible enthusiasm for learning and they love to be engaged in hands-on activities. They come from a variety of backgrounds and, for some, it is their first school experience.
I teach at an International Baccalaureate Primary Years school with approximately 900 students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
Our curriculum focuses on student inquiry-based learning with a global perspective. Under my care is a group of wildly curious kindergarteners who are eager to learn and have fun.
My Project
My students are fascinated with bugs and love to learn about the amazing things these tiny creatures can do! With the insect specimen center and real bug discovery kit, students will be able to explore insects up close. The photographs and facts sheets will provide them with interesting information about the insects they are studying.
These materials will be used across our curriculum to support student learning in math, writing, science, and technology.
In kindergarten, we learn through play and hands-on exploration. The Bee-Bot robot will allow my students to learn coding while also practicing directional and planning skills. The bug manipulatives will be used to practice sorting, counting, addition and subtraction.
