My Project

When looking in my classroom, you will see the smiling faces of students who are creative, hard-working, and ready to take on challenges! As a STEM specialist, I see each class of students in kindergarten though fifth grade. All of my students love learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! This project will support my youngest STEM learners in kindergarten and first grade!

Students will be able to use the directional arrow buttons on the top of the Bee-Bot robot to send it forward, back, left, and right to learn counting, sequencing, directionality, problem-solving, and estimation!

Bee-Bots are used in many early elementary STEM classrooms as a way to develop important thinking skills while students are having fun! Students will send the Bee-Bot through mazes, have it retell parts of a story, and send their Bee-Bot to the different steps in a plant or animal life cycle. They are designed to look like bumble bees, but they have clear shells so that their components can be seen, helping to demystify technology!

Our school is located in a small, rural community, so donors like you make a real difference in bringing my students a meaningful and rigorous STEM program! I know that these Blue-Bot robots will have a huge impact on my pre-k and kindergarten STEM students' learning for years to come!
