Buzzing into Learning: Celebrating World Bee Day with STEM!

Help me give my students supplies for celebrating "World Bee Day" in May!

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and full of energy! They love hands-on activities that allow them to explore, design, and celebrate their learning. Many of my students are English Language Learners or receive special education services, so activities that blend STEM, art, and celebration help make learning meaningful and fun for everyone.

In addition to being a teacher, I am also a backyard beekeeper.

Every year, I celebrate World Bee Day with my class to share my love of bees and the important role they play in our world. My students look forward to this special day, and I want to make it even more engaging this year with your help.

We’ll bring bees to life in our classroom with:

-Robot Kits that let students build and program their own buzzing “bee-bots,” combining engineering with a pollinator theme.

-Bee Headbands & Stickers so students can dress the part and feel like members of the hive.

-Bee Plates, Cups, and Napkins to create a cheerful setting for our celebration and snack time.

Through this project, my students will learn about pollinators, practice teamwork, and develop STEM skills in a joyful, hands-on way.

This project will turn World Bee Day into more than just a lesson—it will be an experience my students remember! By connecting STEM with real-world science, I hope to inspire my students to care about pollinators and discover the joy of learning through play and creativity.
