Buzzing into Learning: Boosting Math Engagement Through Quiz Competitions

My Project

In today’s classroom, it is essential to meet students where they are—tech-savvy, energetic, and motivated by hands-on learning. While traditional assessments are important, they often fail to capture real-time understanding and engagement. A quiz buzzer system will transform review sessions into game-like experiences that encourage participation from all students, including those who may not usually raise their hands.

The buzzer system will also serve as a tool for formative assessment, allowing me to quickly gauge student understanding of key concepts in a low-pressure, fun environment.

This will help inform instruction and address learning gaps more effectively.

By incorporating a buzzer system into daily instruction and review sessions, students will have an interactive and exciting way to participate, reinforcing their math skills while fostering a competitive and collaborative learning environment.
