Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am doing this project for my whole school. We are a prekindergarten program that provides free programing for all 4 year old children in our district which is a district that is classified as 100% low income families. We are a title district. Our students have access to a few pieces of technology but all the classes have to share. It would be great for our school to have access to more so that more students can use them as often as possible to support them.

My Project

Currently, our school has around 200 students but only a few Beebots that the classes have to share. This limits the learning that each student can do with the Beebots.

Our students would be able to learn a variety of different skills with more STEM activities including more BeeBots.

Our students are interested in the Beebots and robot type activities that STEM brings them.

The STEM lego set would provide our special education students another route to use STEM learning in a fun and productive way. It can include skills within their Individualized Education Plans such as colors and counting.
