I currently teach Kindergarten. The students are excited every day to be in school. The students come from low-income households. At school I want to give them every opportunity to learn and explore.
The students love to come to school and learn.
The students are very engaged in math. They love that they are learning to add and subtract. The students are currently beginning learn their sounds, letters, shapes, and colors. This is very exciting time for the students and the first time most of them have been in school.
The students will be using the puzzles and LEGOs will be used to encourage students to want to work to earn money in the classroom. They will be able to spend their money to get free time. The puzzles will help with team work, problem solving skills, and fine motor skills. The puzzles are also wooden and are sturdy to hold up over time. The LEGOs will help the students gain fine motor skills, socializing, creativity, and team work. The money will teach students financial literacy skills to learn how to count, save, budget, and spend their money they earn.
These new materials will engage the students in fun activities that teach them lessons while having fun.
My students come from low income households and may not have these materials at home. The LEGOs and puzzles will all the students to love learning and coming to school every day.
