My Students
My students come from all walks of life, creating a diverse classroom where they learn from one another on a daily basis. I want them to grow up to be critical thinkers and life-long learners who are compassionate, empathetic, and cognizant of anyone and everyone. The students who I have the pleasure of teaching are absolutely amazing. I may be partial, but they are thoughtful teenagers who are going to change the world.
It is time to invest in their futures now, by bringing them the best educational tools to help them succeed in their current and future endeavors in order to create innovative leaders of the future with social-emotional intelligence to build their character, kindness, mindfulness, and empathy.
I try to do this every day, but it really does take a village!
My Project
In a token economy classroom, students are able to purchase items based on their financial rewards, just like in the real world.
Teaching students in middle school about financial responsibility, money management, and that buying books as a reward for pleasure reading is something that many of my students would love to do.
Reading is a passion of mine and there is nothing like a brand new book to read and then share with others.
The popular books that I am requesting for this project will be used in the token economy system that will be in place and students will be able to purchase books for their enjoyment.
