Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My amazing students are special because they come from a variety of very diverse backgrounds, and they have a large need for learning age-appropriate financial literacy. Our students have a very high poverty rate so learning about financial literacy and purchasing things with earned money helps them learn about how the real world works and this is my goal.

My students have the opportunity to earn snacks through our Cobra Cash (our school is called CobraCash) program.

Help them learn financial literacy with our Cobra buck program. Students will earn Cobra bucks by doing good deeds and meeting school expectations, and as they earn and save their Brass bucks they can then "cash them in" for a variety of snacks, treats, and other rewards.

Treats are a huge incentive for my students to work towards to help them learn all about financial literacy and they can earn their treats at the same time.
