Button Up Against Hate: Part 2

Help me give my students the ability to create even more anti-hate and promotional buttons for student government!

My Project

Our student government is charged with improving school-wide culture and climate. Much of our work is centered around No Place for Hate activities, as well as school events. In the past, much of our work has included large-scale displays such as "Hairstory," which are stories of hair from the past and our own today (the purpose of which is to educate and empower), and "Selfie Walls" aimed at self-love and acceptance of others. We have also done work around cards of kindness, mental health awareness, etc.

My student government members are eager to create and maintain a highly positive school environment that extends into the city itself.

Having these items will give our Title I school of 2,500 students the ability to better demonstrate who we are in high-quality ways. As we have already secured the machinery to make this happen, these materials extend our project even further and allow for equity in our organization. This will allow every child in our organization to have materials that show off their hard work and dedication. These materials also go a long way in maintaining membership and fostering further interest. It will also give students the ability to create items directly for school-centered community service activities and beyond. Our goal this year is to extend our reach even further within our larger city community and improve our image in demonstrable ways.
