Butterfly Sanctuary

Help me give my students materials needed to keep our butterfly garden growing.

My Project

Our students have been busy creating a space to raise and conserve monarch butterflies. In the past two years, we have raised over 580 butterflies on campus. The students have been tending to our garden, and learning about propagating plants. They also learn about environmentally safe pest control, and learn about the different causes of plant disease. These drain extenders will help us alleviate the issue of water running through our garden. We need to reroute the rainwater from the gutters to our plants. We also need a garden tool that will help us with digging new holes for new plants that we have ready to go into the ground. More butterfly tents, and bug observation containers will help new members experience a hands on approach to learning.
