This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are fascinated by all things in nature, especially animals and insects. Students are exhilarated to learn even the most basic facts about animals and plants. Observing the butterfly larvae will give them a new awareness and appreciation of the natural world around them. They will especially enjoy caring for the butterflies and then releasing them. The posters will help them remember the life cycle stages and understand the amazing diversity of nature. These items will give us an opportunity to investigate, hypothesize, and do further research into the life cycle of the butterfly. They will be truly amazed to see the connection of all the animals and plant life in nature.
