Hello wonderful donors! To introduce myself, my name is Miss Nolz. I am in my second year teaching in an elementary autism classroom.
I am the special education strategist to six amazing kiddos with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
I received a Master's degree in special education and majored in elementary education at the University of North Dakota.
I am writing to you, wonderful donors, to ask you to help with the purchases of some materials to help my students be successful in the school setting as well as enhance their educational experience.
My Project
Teaching children about life cycles is a perfect way to help them understand the world around them. It is a wonderful way to help students understand the world around them as well as connect with nature. I thought that some classroom pets (caterpillars that will morph into butterflies) would be the most interactive way to teach this!
A variety of materials were chosen for this project to amplify student engagement in learning the life cycle.
Some things on this list of supplies are an insect butterfly pavilion (to witness the life cycle from egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, to butterfly up close and personal!), a variety of different reading materials related to life cycles and butterflies, the stages of the life cycle manipulatives, butterfly coloring/activity book, and more!
