My students are a unique group of student, I have four grade levels in one classroom as well as a variety of ways our students communicate, from assistive devices, sounds and a few who are able to communicate.
My classroom is the most unique and it is the only one of its kind in the district.
It consists of of Kindergarten through third grade students each with their own unique learning goals. Currently in the classroom, I have half of my kiddos that don’t have the ability to speak like you and I, they speak through sounds. Each student is unique just like each butterfly has unique looks.
My Project
We are asking for our growing community of caterpillars so they grow into their own unique and beautiful butterflies of phonics and sight word materials to assist students in learning to read. My students all have unique learning goals, but the constant in them is the need to learn their letters and how to read.
Due to the uniqueness of the classroom we don't have standard curriculum, so I am asking for the items on my Amazon list so I can use them to teach my students to read.
I have some letters that I have made, but not nearly the amount of tools I need to teach these kids how to meet their goals of reading.
