This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am extremely enthusiastic about giving students options to make learning engaging. I hope I can meet the needs of all students since we believe in inclusion for every child. There are some things that I believe would help students' learning, as well as make teaching more organized and fun.
It would be wonderful to provide a learning environment filled with learning in motion to help meet the students' needs.
It is my goal to support diverse learning opportunities among students due to my belief that inclusion benefits all students' development.
My Project
My super awesome first graders will be learning about their environmental sciences by researching butterflies, animals, and frog life cycles and how they grow. They will later expand on their knowledge by researching different animals. They will learn about the animal's habitats, diet, environment, predators, and description.
My students love learning about science about learning how to research by selecting an animal and gathering information about it.
The entire first grade would benefit from this, not just my class as we would be able to share and demonstrate the visuals. I am really excited about all the students being able to watch the butterflies' life cycle on a daily basis and when the butterflies are ready then we can take all the students out to our beautiful school garden to be released. What a great way to learn about butterflies!
