My Students

I have an enthusiastic, amazing group of first-grade students who love to learn new things every day.

Many of my students face various personal struggles outside of school, yet come to school every day eager and ready to learn.

They know that our room is a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where we can have discussions, disagreements, and problem solve as a team!

All of my students plan to attend college in the future. We frequently talk about the path we need to follow over the course of the next 12 school years in order to reach our college goals. Some of my students expressed their interest in having careers as judges, nurses, game designers, and firefighters.

My Project

My students just love to wiggle, twist, wobble and move. They are so full of energy! For them, sitting still is hard to do! But sometimes, their busy bodies lead to accidents and distractions during our instructional time. Wobble chairs are an excellent answer to alternative seating that will allow students to move but is designed to not tip or flip over.

The addition of five Kids Kore Wobble chairs to our classroom will provide my students with a safe and fun way to expend their energy without disrupting instructional time while still focusing on learning.

We will use these chairs during our small group math and literacy meeting times and throughout the day for those extra wiggly scholars. I know giving my scholars the opportunity to move while learning will create a more engaging and fun learning community for them to grow and succeed in. Thank you for supporting their learning!
