Help me give my students access to materials that will engage not only their mind but their bodies. The fidgets are to keep students hands busy. The Q Bitz and Wacky Track and books are for their minds.
My students are an energetic and inquisitive group of first graders. My 6 and 7 year old students are very eager to learn new things and have new experiences beyond what they all ready know.
I strive to provide my students with as many opportunities to learn through hands on experiences that allow my students to explore the world around them.
It's the "messy" learning and unplanned moments that truly make the connections, and through this, I hope to make life long learners.
For true learning to happen in a first grade classroom teachers need to engage not only students minds, but also their bodies. With the use of the materials requested I will be able to provide my students with a variety of fidgets that they can use during learning time to keep their hands busy and active while learning during whole group. This will help many students to feel actively engaged while still providing an outlet for their body to move.
The books I am requesting will be used to help my students develop their growth mindset.
Showing them how to stretch and shape their minds to be active learners throughout their lives.
Students will also be able to actively engage their bodies in learning while solving mind puzzles, building roller coasters, and doing mindful activities that bring on rest and relaxation.
