Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in a rural area. In my classroom, there are a diverse group of learners. The learners in my classroom all have different learning styles that require​ instruction to be adapted to their style of learning.

My unique group of students are always present at school.

When they are present, they are prepared to be productive throughout the day. While at school, all of my students enjoy participating in class and learning new concepts. In the classroom, we all learn together.

My Project

The materials I chose for my classroom is essential for the success of my sudents. My students are always in need of books. With the construction paper I requested, students can illustrate pictures of characters or be creative in designing a new book.

During our review for benchmark assessments, my students enjoy playing Kahoot.

Using dry erase boards and markers, students will be able to solve math problems before selecting their choice.

In my classroom, I am can use different sentence strips to post key vocabulary words in the content areas that students need to know in order to understand content. The other supplies such as bulletin board borders will be used to showcase students work that they create.
