I teach 22 amazing fourth-grade students who are full of energy each and every day! Our elementary school serves students in grades K-4, so next year these students will be in middle school, where independence is crucial! I work with these students all year long on becoming more responsible for themselves, their materials, and our school.
I take pride in my students, as I help them grow to love learning and school.
Though our school is in a rural small town, with over 60% free or reduced-priced lunch, we work as a community to provide for our students and families to ensure the best education possible!
I am so appreciative of your support in helping to foster a positive learning environment and learning experience for these students. They are our future and are very deserving!
My Project
My students have two recesses each day, sometimes outside recess, sometimes inside. The amount of materials I have for them to use during this inside recess time is limited. My students have been asking for more hands-on building materials.
With Legos, K’nex, and Play-Doh students will be able to be creative in their own way.
The Lego building bases would be able to be attached to the wall in my classroom so students would be able to build off the wall. Then their cool creations could be saved on a daily basis and students could come back to them and keep building! Students love the sensory experience of Play-Doh! With fresh, new Play-Doh and tools, they will be able to take a break from their learning and use their imagination. I already know many more ways that I’ll also be able to use these materials in math, science, and literacy too!
Thank you for investing in my classroom and helping these very deserving fourth-graders!
