My Students

I have been teaching for seventeen years and I've noticed a change in the learning styles of many students. It's not the same as when I was in elementary school. Frankly, the more appealing a work space is, the better the work that is created. Students are not only workers, but my clients. I want them to achieve and I want them to want to achieve.

I believe that accommodating the learners' styles, both physical and academic, will be inspirational!

Classroom seating should be flexible and inspiring.

I also believe appropriate learning tools are needed for this twenty-first century classroom in order for students to keep up with the future job market they will be entering. Hands-on manipulatives and technology are necessary for success.

My Project

Over the last eighteen years, I've noticed an increase in attention difficulties. Many kids have a really hard time sitting still. I mean, can you blame them? They're kids! I believe if they are given different options, they will be able to learn, yet be active.

Wobble Chairs are becoming very popular, as well as different floor seating, shorter tables and standing tables.

I have purchased several items myself, but need help to finish this arrangement.

Offering flexible seating in my classroom will be beneficial for this generation of learners, leading to more happy, productive students! Let's make learning fun!
