Busy Bodies - Focused Minds

My Project

Fifth grade students are expected to sit and work for long periods of time. This seems more difficult than ever before. Students are struggling to keep their bodies calm and that takes the focus off their learning.

Giving students permission to move their bodies with wiggle seats and stretchy bands allows them to focus their minds on learning.

I would like to provide all students with stretchy bands on their desks and seats. These bands offer foot and leg movement in a variety of ways but are not invasive or in the way if they are not needed or wanted.

Having a few wiggle seats available will help those students who need that little bit more movement than the stretchy bands will offer.
