My Project

My third graders are so smart and caring. We are always having heart-to-heart chats, and something that comes up a lot is the garbage we see around the city. We have constantly talked about why there is so much trash on our streets and how we can combat that. We pick up trash on our own playground behind our school and try to hold everyone accountable for cleaning their space. We also have our garden here at school.

I have some fun ideas for Earth Day, but we need your help in gaining the materials.

We need some books to read about Earth and a TPT gift card to purchase the activity bundles for our lesson. This would engage the students by getting them out of their seats, using their creativity, and coming together to work as a team to combat climate change and instill a love for our Mother Earth. We are currently raising frogs and butterflies as well, so this will only fuel their desire to do more and change the world for the better.
