Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are so special all their own. They all have their way of thinking and come from so many different backgrounds and lifestyles. Most of them come from families that do not speak the native language and so they have to work extra hard to make things happen.

For some of my students, passing by an airport on the way to a field trip IS the field trip.

They are so curious since many of them don't see what more is out there on a daily basis. With this said, many of them feel sad that they do not have certain resources that other students may have at their schools, much less at home. Having these resources could give them the confidence to want to reach higher and exceed limits.

My Project

My students currently take a shared iPad and find a spot to do some of their assigned tasks rather than to have a station to go to that is ready and waiting for them. Having this resource cuts down on the time of transition immensely.

For lack of resources, transition times are wasting too much of our learning time.

Having a spot designated with iPads set up and headphones ready to go, would be amazing! It would reduce the stress on the students so they can go in ready to crush any assignment that comes their way! They have enough stress coming to school unprepared.
