This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The assortment of bee-themed classroom decor, such as bulletin board trim, motivational posters, non-fiction books on bees, and the bee thumbtacks, will be used to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom that will help remind my students that we have lots of learning and work to do while having fun at being the best students they can be in the third grade.
My students will receive a welcome-back-to-school set that will include bee-themed pencils, erasers, and a key chain to help them feel welcomed to our busy hive.
In addition, students will receive fabric pencil pouches that they will decorate with the requested Posca markers, giving them an opportunity to be creative while we get to know each other.
The first day of school can set the tone for the rest of the school year, so this year I want my students to "bee" the scholar I know they can "bee".
