This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have various special needs, such as autism and learning disabilities. They are all incredible!! My students learn in different ways, but I have found there is one thing all of them have in common: a love of technology and iPads.
My students have sensory, processing, fine and gross motor, and communication needs, yet when they are presented with technology such as an iPad, none of that matters to them!
They are truly engaged when working with technology, and the technology provides a new method for them to learn lesson content and concepts. I would love to create a fake photo business where the regular education students come to have their picture taken "professionally" by my special needs students. We will use the iPad to edit pictures and keep track of the "financial" part of the fake business.
