In a school where over 82% of the population is economically disadvantaged, there is a class of 7 students who give 100 percent every time they walk in the door. They never ask for anything beyond what is offered to them, and they are content with what they have. I love to see their face light up when they get the chance to experience learning in a new setting. My students do things on a daily basis to help the world around them. They pick up trash during recess everyday, they tend a memorial garden in honor of a recently departed teacher, they participate in different school wide events, and they are the schools loudest and proudest cheerleaders.

About my class
