My Project

My students will work together and strategized using games like Battleship, Checkers, and Chess. Each game listed has a strategic need and allows the student to reinforce what they are learning in finance, business essentials, and money management. They are also learning STEM integration and some games are STEM specific and fall into the Computer Science Standards for our state.

These games will offer each student a connection in learning, build strong strategic understanding, and how to utilize such methods in a real world stage.

These students are special because they are asking for more inquiry learning and want to build on their prior knowledge. They are from a rural area that has very little implementation or "think outside the box" for grade 10-12th in a business and technological field.

Not many students have the opportunity to mix traditional learning, visual learning, Project-Based Learning, hands-on learning, and collaborative learning. My students desire all these and are always looking for games and activities to help them grow as a student and a future community leader.

I teach across several grade bands, schools, and school systems. Not one child comes from the same walks of life and yet each can work together and play games that actually teach them. They support each other and that is why my students are special.
