Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are funny and love life. They enjoy working together and sharing ideas. We are a close-knit community. My class is the state-mandated Respond to Intervention and Instruction. At times, they need to be motivated and experience opportunities for success. This project will help with reinforcing the middle school Common Core Standards and give students an opportunity to cook in the classroom.

My students enjoy expressing themselves and sharing ideas.

Upon completing a survey with my students, over 80% expressed an interest in technology that includes shopping online, video gaming, exploring careers in technology, entrepreneurship, and engineering. They also enjoy completing assignments and educational games that include Kahoot and Gimkit.

My Project

This is a project that focuses on physical fitness. As part of their end of the yearly fitness project, students, will develop a personal/fitness plan. This plan will be presented to students and parents in the style of a fair and oral presentation. We will also vote and pick the top three. Each team will be given a cart, tri-fold display board and colored paper to complete their project.

Help me give my students the tools to be fitness champions.

This project focuses on students' interests and strengths . They will conduct online research, interview parents, and listen to coaches and trainers. My end outcome is that I want my students to know that you can do anything with hard work and dedication.
