My Students

Sensory regulation is hard work for students with autism. Providing a variety of options to help keep their bodies calm to be successfully engaged learners is so important in our classroom. Incorporating simple but cool solutions is what we are all about.

My students have ranging ability levels and the majority have autism or behavior disabilities.

They work hard all day long to keep their bodies regulated when in their regular education classroom as well as our special education classroom. Our school is accepting of all abilities and inclusion is an important part of our learning community.

My Project

Our students will use the Bungee Chairs while in small group or independent instruction within our special education classroom. They may also use them in their regular education classroom while doing work at their desk or in large group lessons. Since the chairs are lightweight they can move environments easily.

This project will make a difference because our students will be motivated and engaged while learning.

By providing a variety of seating options our students can be comfortable during lessons. Sensory regulation is an important aspect to all students' learning, especially those with autism.
