Help me give my students 'kindness is cool' wristbands, stickers, posters, assorted books about bullying and diversity, pencils, and art supplies to create 'Respect For All' signs and posters.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." ~ Frank Outlaw.
My students are often told, "Do the right thing," but often require tangible reminders to reinforce and instill behaviors and habits of mind to respond appropriately to conflicts.
With your funding, my students will be recognized and rewarded for displaying positive behaviors with either an "anti-bullying' pencil, wristband or stickers. When they are recognized and rewarded, these incentives will serve as a tangible reminder that positive behaviors are desired, valued and respected!
My students can read the assorted books about being kind to others and and learn how to stand up to bullies. The pencils and markers will enable them to respond in writing and make a commitment to being a buddy and not a bully. The will use the pencils, pens, markers and other art supplies to write about friendship and bullying. The markers, glue and art supplies will enable them to create attractive anti-bullying signs that can be played in our school community.
