This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.", said Eleanor Roosevelt.

My students have brilliant minds that come to school each day, ready to learn.

They do lots of cooperative learning projects in class that require partnerships, in and outside of the classroom. Students take on different roles in their groups to give each student the opportunity to take on different responsibilities. They are all in varying levels of language acquisition, literacy, and mathematics. They enjoy the arts and keeping fit. They are motivated learners who are ready to take on challenges and expand their knowledge.

My Project

Our school does not have the proper resources to continue to foster our love for learning about character building and bullying materials. We would love to incorporate these vital social skills into our everyday learning. Our idea was to incorporate our anti-bully materials/books into our learning center. The only problem we face is the lack of an up-to-date listening station. The books and ipod shuffles will help us read and listen to stories about real life bullying situations and techniques that will not only help my students, but also allow them to go out and teach other students. There are hundreds of resources available to download. All we need is the resources

Successfully dealing with bullying involves building a genuine community within the class and school.

Everyone accepts they have the right to be free from harassment and that they have the responsibility to support their weaker and more vulnerable peers. I will use "Bullying in Schools" and "Billy Bully" to create a safe environment. I need your help so I can provide books and technology that will help my students to learn how to deal with bullies in and out of school.
