My Students
Bullying is a big problem. Students need to learn how to stand up for themselves in appropriate ways so they can effectively handle bully situations. I'd like to offer book clubs to my third and fourth grade students that will be educational and fun.
I am a school counselor at a Title One school.
My students face a variety of challenges in their every day lives including bullying. My students often struggle with how to handle bullying and confrontation in healthy ways. Many students choose to respond in ways that get them in trouble, which causes them to miss classroom instruction. I strive to help them build self-confidence and skills to handle bullying situations in healthy ways so they avoid behavior issues.
My Project
I'd like to offer opportunities for my students to participate in book clubs with myself and other students. The two books I'd like to use are engaging and fund to read. They offer practical strategies for students to use to handle bully situations and boost confidence. I believe that these book clubs will help build positive self esteem and confidence.
Please consider donating towards this worthy project and help my students learn healthy ways to handle bullying and confrontation.
You can help them learn valuable conflict resolution skills that they can use in their everyday lives today and as they grow into confident adults. Thank you for your consideration!
