Mrs. Nelson from Baltimore MD is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need to have a bully-free school environment. By viewing the film BULLY, students will see the importance of promoting a bully-free climate.

Creating a safe and supportive school environment is essential in fostering students' success. If students feel comfortable enough to explore and take risks, their academic abilities will grow as their personal and social skills develop.
My students face tremendous social obstacles presented by their urban community in Maryland.
Our school should be a safe haven for them to grow as individuals and be supported by their peers and teachers. By viewing the critically acclaimed documentary film, BULLY, students will realize the importance of promoting bully-free relationships. Students will see the pain and trauma that is caused by bullying as we participate in pre and post viewing experiences and activities.
In partnership with The Bully Project's 1 Million Kids initiative and Facing History and Ourselves, both students and staff will work on anti-bullying lessons prior to viewing the documentary, BULLY. We will then take a trip to view the film and then conclude with post-viewing experiences that will continue to reinforce the importance of promoting positive peer relationships. This experience has the potential to transform the climate of our school and the future of our students.
Bullying must be stopped!
Our youth have the power to prevent bullying. By participating in this field trip, students will see the impact of bullying on their peers and will be inspired to become advocates of anti-bullying behaviors. Please contribute to bully prevention by supporting this field trip experience.
