My Project

For Black History Month each of my students has chosen a future career. The students have been involved helping me research a “first or famous” African American who was pivotal in the occupation that each child aspires to be in when they grow up.

Each child’s picture and the famous African American will be to focus of their own self-made bulletin board.

The children will get to choose from the letters, paper backgrounds, and materials chosen for this project. The supplies I have selected will allow my students to use their creativity to make a bulletin board that will showcase their own picture dressed up in the uniform of their chosen profession and will include a picture and information about a "famous" African American. The bulletin boards will be displayed for months so the children can admire them and share their dreams of the future with the school.
