This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a math, science, technology magnet program that has not received an additional cent of funding since the program began over a decade ago. Imagine their disappointment when they are unable to print and share their projects with their parents and friends.

My students are amazingly intelligent six year-olds who are creative and curious about everything around them.

They use this curiosity to investigate and create projects that are meaningful to them and those around them. They are the lucky ones who were selected by lottery into our school's magnet program and they appreciate every moment in our classroom.

My Project

My students create a plethora of projects in all of the curricular areas, science, math, social studies, but unfortunately due to the lack of funding, they are unable to print these technological wonders. With ink for their color printer, they will be able to share their projects with families and friends at home, helping them to further develop their oral presentation skills.

My students live in an urban inner city, but their minds are not limited by their environment.

With the ink for their color printer they will be able to share their entire rainbow of ideas and creations with the rest of the world!
