Help me give my students school supplies to guide them in participating in the education they deserve! I want to create a school supplies cart where students have access to these supplies throughout the day.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
At my school, the students are faced with hardships everyday. The wonderful students are low income and qualify for free lunches.
Our K-8 building is filled with learning everyday!
With our incredibly hard working staff, we strive for hands-on, minds-on learning. Imagine 280 students working hard everyday in classrooms to share their new discoveries. We bounce off each others' ideas, we cheer on one-another, we challenge minds, we brainstorm, we investigate, and we inquire. We share the same love for learning, we are all unique and different in our own way. This is our family!
My Project
Being at a low-income school I see the struggles the students face of not having school supplies. I also see the challenge the teachers face of spending hundreds of dollars on their young learners. I want to create a project that serves both the beautiful students and the empowering teachers!
With this school supplies cart, the scholars can have the ability to participate in the education they deserve!
They will have access to the cart throughout the day and won’t have to feel embarrassed of not being able to bring the correct materials to class. School supplies are very important in a child’s education, and with your help we can provide these essential materials.
