Help me give my students games to activate their brain! These logic games are great to develop reasoning skills, to learn perseverance, and to develop visual spatial skills.
In our class, we love to think! My students know that making decisions is difficult. Logic games give us the chance to open our mind, to analyze, and to persevere while being engaged playing different types of games. Our school is a Title I school that serves an under-resourced community in need of greater access to meaningful educational experiences. One powerful way we engage in this work is through logic games. Logic puzzles and games can improve their decision-making skills by increasing cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention, and concentration.
With your support, I will expose my students to different games providing opportunities to promote their reasoning, to remind them the power of a positive mindset, and to learn from the mistakes as they go along.
My students are amazing mathematicians, and they come to class with the desire to know more. Adding these games to our math centers will help them to develop math skills, but also skills they could use across subjects such as reading and science and in their everyday lives. Games are a powerful way to stay engaged in the learning and to develop these thinking skills.
