Building Up Math Skills

My Project

STEAM class is a seventy-minute class students have once a week. STEAM education focuses on hands-on, collaborative, critical thinking activities. We are able to support the core curriculum while catering towards the 21st century learner.

Math manipulatives help students build concrete models of abstract ideas.

We will use the building plates and bricks to work on math fluency with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, volume and more. The Playmat allows for students to work in small groups together in our flexible seating area in the classroom. Our goal of this project is to help strengthen math skills. These skills will be applied to our STEAM projects.
